The ‘Beginners Mind’ is a state of mind that no matter how many times we’ve engaged in an activity it allows us to see things from a fresh and new perspective. This class is perfect for beginners to Power Yoga and is also for more experienced practitioners returning to the fundamentals.
Travis will encourage you to empty the mind and enjoy a steady yoga flow through a variety of standing, seated and reclining yoga postures.
I really enjoyed that class, my mind and body feel so refreshed and at ease right now. I enjoyed the very detailed cues and alignments of poses that are often not mentioned in regular power yoga classes. It was way more gentle and a lot less dynamic than the other power yoga classes, but thats what i expected as its advertised as suited for beginners and focused on the fundamentals. And Travis wisdom was phenomenal as always!
A little too slow and gentle for me normally but actually perfect since I currently have an injury. It is great to be able to do a long class and just be able to focus on the breath the entire time. I agree it is the essence of yoga if you can do that consistently throughout the class.
Too slow and simple. This is not a power yoga class
Echoing earlier comments: very basic and slow with only a few poses. Not a well rounded class - unlike usual. If I did not know other IDTV/Travis/Power Yoga classes, I would not continue despite the appealing visuals and music. There are so many beginner programs out there. I was hoping for Sadhana to be for at least a bit more experienced practitioners with suggestions on how to make poses easier or more challenging.
Connection!
Too slow
Should be labeled as gentle
An all over feel good class...slow movements focusing on breath is powerful! Lovely calm music and great inspiration.
Wonderful class, thank you!
Beautiful class to start a beautiful journey. Thank you, Travis.
Lovely, gentle practice-Thank you Travis!
My favourite kind of practice - simple, back to basics and uncomplicated. Excellent cueing and a wonderful soundtrack. Plus of course, this class has Tree Pose and a good old chant of Om (my two favourites in any practice!!) Totally perfect for an easy like Sunday morning :)
I really looked forward to this new video. Going back to fundamentals is always good, however it was too slow and simple for what I needed today :).
A great reset or rebirth! I love the angelic like music & chanting! It's spiritually awakening! This practice envelops the true sense of yoga.
This was a beautiful practice to get fully integrated and involved for journey that is to come. At first I saw myself getting cocky about my practice because it starts very chill and basic, but as I allowed myself to humble and step into the beginners mind I was able to allow this class to be a deep inner experience. Travis speaks deep with many profound statements throughout the practice, and by the end I was deep in relaxation yet warmed up for the rest of my day. Thank you Travis and Inner Dimension for continuing to bring us these wonderful Yoga experiences.
Thank you for this beautiful practice. Looking forward to the next one :)
I did not learn about the fact that yoga starts with the breath. My yoga has always been focused on the movement and postures. I'm unlearning a lot doing beginning classes and this one is a fantastic foundation to the depth of yoga that is beyond a pose. I feel my practice deepening and making so much more sense. The way the music flows with the practice is really beautiful. There must be a very dedicated team of incredibly creative and intuitive humans making these classes. Gorgeous final corpse pose for the most indulgent rest. Thank you!
This was a Yin yoga practice for me:)
